Mouse that will ACTUALLY work

Hi, does anyone know of a mouse that actually works with the Macbook?  Neither my old mouse or either of two magic mouse will work - they CONSTANTLY lose connection and often will take hours before they can talk again.  I've read articles that tell you to add paper inside the battery compartment or to buy Apple batteries, but neither is a good solution.  These mice should WORK.  Looking for a brand that doesn't lose blue tooth CONSTANTLY.

In my experience: get one with a cord.

If you're thinking of stuffing paper into the battery compartmenyt, you are obviously using the old Magic Mouse 1.    Interestingly, the Magic Mouse 1 should work with all the current OS's, but if you want to be up to date buy the MM2.  It will pair instantly.

But you may have a problem with interference.  Read this apple document which may help you.

Hi, thank you for the pointer.  None of these should be an issue.  And it's weird the article talks about wi-fi when the mouse is bluetooth.  My new iMac magic mouse 2 works fine; but I sure do not like the way you have to charge it and the fact that it's useless when being charged.  I'd love an alternative to "buy a newer mouse".  I can't think of a single thing that could be causing the issue - the only other bluetooth devices are another mouse, another keyboard and a fitbit.  Some of which are too far away to ever be an issue.  Guess there isn't much of alternative; but I'm keeping the packaging.  Thank you.

You aren't the only one to make that comment.    But tell me, a three minute charge, hardly time to boil a kettle for coffee, and you get a full days work, if not more.  Do you need to manipulate your mouse while the kettle is boiling?

Don't get me wrong; I didn't design the mouse, but I just can't see why such a short time to produce a days work is a problem.   Just remember to put it on charge overnight and, good heavens, you will have 6 to 8 working weeks in the morning.
