Just bought a 2017 iMac, I have been using Windows in the past. I do have an iPhone though and want to access my iMessages on my iMac.

When I go to write a new message to someone on my contacts im getting the following error message:

I have made sure my Date & Time and Regional settings are all correct. I have also tried enabling and disabling iMessages on my Phone.

I am worried that deleting my own contact card might have broken this? I did not see the point of having my own contact card. All my contacts are synced using Google Contacts.
