Authentication required prior to send mail erro...

I have set up my Mac with my icloud account and it uses the standard settings for sending mails.

However, when I try to send a Mail from the icloud account I get the following error:

Your address @icloud.com hasn't bee accepted by the server p40-smtp.mail.me.com

Reply: Authentication required prior to MAIL/SAML/SEND/SOML

Sent from: (NULL)

So my question is: Where and how do I need to authenticate? It seems not to work.
