Composing mail on iPad and last line is covered...

I am using a new iPad Pro with iOS 10.3.3. When composing a note on Mail the gray bar with word suggestions is always showing at the bottom of the screen. As a page gets filled I can't find any way to move the bar so the bottom line of the note is visible. I cannot see the line I am typing. What can I do to allow me to see the bottom line of the note?
