In my mail, all of my sub folders have lost all their contents.  I have important docs listed in many of them.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

1. Let's start with are you using an email client or a web browser to access your email?
2. If a email client, which one? If browser, which one?
3. Who is your email provider: Apple (via iCloud), Gmail, Microsoft Live, etc.?
