Cant approve my iphone

So i just downloaded IOS 11 and now in the settings its asking me to update my apple ID settings. when i click continue i get to the screen saying "approve this iphone" and it tells me to go to another device signed into icloud. well nothing is showing up on my macbook so i don't know what to do now.
