Select portion of screen on iPad

I have an iPad Pro, running 10.3.3.  I understand how to make a screen shot of the entire screen.  What if I want to select a small portion of the screen, and get a screen shot of that?

By the way I can think of workarounds like cropping the photo later in a photo editor.  I'm hoping there's a straightforward method to do it in one step, like there is on a Mac or Windows desktop/laptop.
