"On my ipad"

Is there any way to manually create a folder to save files? I recognise that some apps create a folder like Numbers.

I would like to use my iPad pro and save files local at times instead of in the cloud.

If an item in the Files app does not have a cloud icon in the upper right-hand corner, then it is local on your device

Hi SteveS100. No. The Files app can only use the local storage managed by apps that sync with it. It has no storage of its own. You can create a folder in Numbers and save files there.

Thanks, regrettably I figured that out.  TERRIBLE design .

Would be nice if there was a list of apps that supported local data.
