OS upgrade problems

Is it possible to upgrade a 2011 mid year 21.5 iMac to High Sierra? Sierra was on this thing, did a reformat on now it's back to Lion 10.7.5 and nowhere to go from here. Any ideas appreciated. Thank you

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, click here, and download El Capitan from the Mac App Store. If you previously downloaded a different intermediate OS(other than Sierra), you can redownload it from the Purchases tab instead.
