Can I share iCloud storage through family sharing?

I'd like to let my family use iCloud storage through family sharing. Is that even possible?

No, not at this time.

It will be possible with the larger storage plans after the next major iOS and MacOS releases which are coming this Fall. See the following from macOS High Sierra Preview - Apple

Now you can share an iCloud storage plan with your entire family. Choose 200GB or 2TB and give everyone enough space to store photos, videos, documents, and more.
