El Capitan to Sierra

I am currently using the most recent version of El Capitan, but am planning to upgrade to Sierra soon.  However, I am concerned that my Toast 11 may not work for data disk burning.  That is all I use Toast 11 for, just the data disk burning--either to recordable CDs or DVDs.

Have done some research into this, and it appears that any version of Toast past 11 is not getting good reviews in terms of burning to Mac OS.

Is anyone using Toast 11 with Sierra?  If so, is it working for data burning of recordable CDs or DVDs?

Or am I better off to use Sierra's built-in disk burning system?  On my Mini (late 2012), I have an Apple USB Super Drive, and on my MacBook Pro (late 2011), I have an internal CD/DVD drive.

I do use Time Machine for large backups, but prefer the data disk burning method for incremental backups.

I only use the built-in CD burning system for data disks. I use a SuperDrive on my Mac Mini Server and MBP Retina. I have never had an issue burning and reading data disks.
