Apple Watch repair due to side button

I want to recount my story and my extreme disappointment with Apple.

On 22nd Aug, I went swimming for the first time for 500m.  The next day, I noticed that the side button is not working and it started to call the emergency number randomly throughout the day.  I called up Apple and have the watch sent in for repairs on 25th Aug.  They told it may take up to 14 days for the repair.

I was going to fly to Sydney on 12th September.  I called on 4th, 5th and 6th Sept and they said I won't get the watch before I fly.  I am so disappointed now.  Apple Watch Series 2 is supposed to be water resistant.

I hope the situation may change but I doubt that would be the case.

There's nothing can be done here in the user to user technical forum.

Apple is not here.
