iTunes does not responding

I have a problem related to my iTunes that does not respond. I have tried many ways from a restart, shutdown and installed CCleaner for Mac. All of them did not work.

my iTunes did not work when there was a notification to update (not sure what apps need to be updated). I just clicked "try tonight" coz I am in the middle of working on my MacBook. Couple minutes later, while I was listening to music in my iTunes, my iTunes was suddenly closing. I tried to re-open but it did not work. I shut down my laptop and start again, my iTunes kept not responding.  Please help me to solve this problem, it is so annoying. Working without listening music is flavorless.
