Heart Rate Monitor

My heart rate monitor has stopped working on my 1.5 yr old series 1 watch. It either greys out and doesn't register the heart rate, or it gets stuck on a low bpm which I know is not correct. Any way to fix this? Can I trade in my watch for a new one and get credit towards the new one? I did not buy protection. Thanks!

The following steps may help:

 

  • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > Privacy > if they are not already enabled, turn on Heart Rate and Fitness Tracking.

 

  • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > Workout > turn off Workout Power Saving Mode.

 

Apple does not currently offer either a trade-in program or an upgrade program for Apple Watch.
