Macbook air 2017 i5 vs i7
Hi all,
I am looking to get a macbook air for my studies and was wondering whether the upgrade from 1.8ghz i5 to 2.2ghz i7 is worth the money as well as if it is necessary.
I am a university student that is studying life sciences, and will only be using my macbook air for the following purposes
- Web surfing / watching movies,dramas,youtube/ emails etc
- Doing school assignment/ research/ doing essays and presentation
I won't be using my macbook air for playing any games neither will i be doing any photo or video editing.
Will the 1.8ghz i5 be sufficient for my usage? Will the 2.2ghz i7 make any real world differences in my usage? Such as faster loading speed etc.
Thanks in advance for the the help received!
For the usage you state, I don't think you'll see much difference on processor speed. But the standard 128 GB hard drive will fill up fast. I suggest going with a larger hard drive.
