iCloud backup/restore help

Hiya,

I'm just wondering if anyone could help me to save me having to ring. My iPhone 5 broke at a music festival last week so I had to get a new one - when I turned the new one on, it obviously asked if I'd like to restore from the last backup on my iCloud. I didn't. I had over 7,000 photo's on it and only wanted to keep some on my new phone, so I thought I could just log onto iCloud and view what was backed up. 

When I logged on nothing was there, it said the iPhone 6 had nothing backedup or something and that's all that was listed. However, when I go into iCloud on my phone now, as in click on iCloud in my settings, it clearly say's there's a backup of over 8GB from my iPhone 5?

I needed a lot of those photo's kept, so please tell me there is a way for me to access that backup?!

Thanks in advance! I also apologise if there's a simple solution that I just can't see!
