Upgrading my current MacBook Pro (13

Hello All!

I am currently looking into upgrading my current Macbook Pro:

• Macbook Pro 13-inch Early 2011
• 2.3 GHz Inter Core i5
• 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3
• 320 GB SATA DISK

What I understood from running a scan on cruical is that I can upgrade my RAM up to 16GB (2xGB memory), and I can upgrade my internal harddrive to SSD (500GB or 1TB)

My Questions are:

1. If I only upgrade the RAM, what will happen with my laptop?
2. Upgrading the harddrive, will only result in bigger storage space or will the laptop become faster?
3. If I replace both RAM and harddrive, will the mac become fast again or am I going to face problems?
4. What is the most compatible RAM and harddrive that goes with my Mac (in terms of size and brand). Appreciate if you send a link for good RAM/harddrive products
5. If I upgrade the harddrive, how can I shift all my programs, files, pictures to the new harddrive
6. My current laptop has an SSD drive? or is it a different type?
   
7. How easy is it to replace the RAM and harddrive. Can I do it myself? or does Apple store/computer store do it for me?
