iMac making a cricket type sound

I have a 27 inch IMac I purchased in 2011. It started making what I can only describe as a cricket sound.

Can anyone give me a few procedures I can run to repair this issue? I would like to at least try to resolve it before I spend the money at the Apple Store.

I am sunning MacOS Sierra Version 10.12.6 and I have 16 GB of Ram.
