removing widgets from mission control

I have various widgets on my mission control, some of which I have duplicated. Now I seem to be unable to delete them. When I click on the + button it doesn't come up with the actual mission control page, but only the widgets themselves, and even if I select the wish-get there and delete it it doesn't delete whats on my page, so I can't delete the duplicates, or indeed anything.

Sorry I mean on the dashboard not mission control!
