apple.help@post.com message on MacBook Pro

Hi,

I seem to have a problem with my MacBook Pro, which is currently locked and is only showing with a grey screen with the message "write to email: Apple.help@post.com".

It asks for a 6-digit passcode but I have no idea what this could be.

Has anybody got a clue?

Thanks!

That is a SCAM. the message is not provided by Apple, Inc.

post.com is NOT an Apple email address. it is the email address of the lying thieves who have contacted you.

I suggest you quit your Browser, if possible.

otherwise use Command-Option escape to bring up the force-quit window and force-quit your browser.

otherwise shutdown your Mac.

otherwise, use the power button for ten seconds to emergency power-off your Mac.

when restarting after the desktop is drawn, hold the shift key to stop opening previously-opened Applicatiosn.

when re-launching your Browser, hold the shift key to avoid re-opening previously-opened pages.

Hi,

Do not reply to that email, it is a scam, phishing or possibly asking for a "ransom." Your Apple ID may have been compromised. Read the following and contact Apple as explained in the document: If you think your Apple ID has been compromised - Apple Support
