iPad locked

Hi all,

My GF was using her iPad and suddenly the phone switched off and back on.

She was only web browsing when the below happened.  She is logged in to her iTunes and iCloud logins on her iphone with no issues.  Same with her iPad. No idea what this is about.

We even tried restoring it in iTunes but it still asks for the below info.

She got a white screen with the following:

  ACTIVATE iPAD

This iPad is currently linked to an Apple ID (w......@1......com).  Sign in with the Apple ID that was used to set up this iPad.

Apple ID

Password

There is an Activation Help bit which I clicked.  Says 'A password is required to activate this device because its owner has used Find My iPhone to link it to their Apple ID.

If this is your device, enter the Apple ID and password you used to set up iCloud.

Followed by some more info about contacting help - which is why I am here!

Was this device purchased second hand? If yes then then the original owner will need to be contacted to remove the activation lock

If your SO is the original owner of the device - check to see if the device appears in Find iPhone when she logs into https://www.icloud.com and erase it from there -

If the device is not seen there - bring it in to Apple or an authorized center with proof of ownership and identity and Apple will help you remove that lock

Hi !! I have the same issue with my wife! We had a update on iPad and ask the email plus the code! For some reason the code would no go! So we changed the code on iCloud account! And we took it off had a device! Now we stil get the activation code been ask and the password still been asked! We bought the iPad 3 or 4 years ago, we can't used it and is frustrating!! What can we do?! I don't understand that we took it off from the devices and still been linked on my wife's iCloud! Can't we do something about it! Thanks
