Intuos 2 and Sierra

Anyone had any luck getting Intuos 2 to work on Sierra? Is there a good competitor for Intuos?
Tried solutions from 2014 question about compatibility with previous OS software and Intuos. Nothing works. I keep getting the "supported tablet was not found on the system."  It haven't had a tablet preference that worked for years, but the pen performed just fine.

Make sure you are using the latest drivers.

If they don't work you need to contact Wacom support.

Honest mistake about posting about the wrong config. But point still stands: the current version of the Wacom drivers do not work.

Looking at the Wacom driver page, the last time they updated the drivers for Intuos 2 tablets was in 2010. It seems they haven't had an interest in updating the driver for quite awhile now.

This is true. They would seemingly prefer to work on newer products than legacy ones that still function.

Reminds me of a scene from Transformers the Movie from my childhood. "Wait! I still function…!" B-)

Well, there has to be some kind of limit on how long a company can support their products. After all, they do want to be able to sell new tablets rather than hope people buy 7yr old used tablets.

well , this is something unacceptable, I have one intuos 1 and 1 intuos 2 A4 perfect shape, that where working just for a few years!!! they were very expensive and hardware is perfect, a driver should be available for todays OS.

this tablets works exactly same way new ones, "just" 1024 levels of pressure, no one in earth could tell that, human hand is only capable of making some hundreds of levels, beyond that is pure marketing. +

people is falling in marketing strategies well known for every experience artist.

thanks god wacom is going to fall in some years after much better new incomers.

Just checking in on this question. I hate the thought of my perfectly good Intuos 2 sitting there dormant. Is there any hope?

It's really a question for Wacom but seeing they haven't updated the Intuos 2 driver for nearly 7 years it seems unlikely they will.
