Double sign

I have a brand-new MacBook Pro that I am considering returning because the double-security sign-in process basically means I can't use my laptop unless I carry my iPhone with me at all times. I already have a desktop and only got the laptop as a convenience. But if Apple is going to essentially make it unusable, then I'd prefer to get rid of it.
