Watch no longer rings when I get  a phone ...

I just upgraded my phone last night (from an iPhone 6 iOS 10 to an iPhone 8 iOS 11). Today at work, I had my phone in my pocket and when I got a call, there was no indicator on my watch. My phone was in silent mode, so I did feel it vibrating. What a hassle to have to dig it out of my pocket to reject the call. This is one of my most favorite watch functions. And now it's not working anymore. Can some one help me fix this?
