my daughters ipod touch is glitching

the ipod touch will randomly swipe and scroll.  if she clicks out of a page on her ipod on safari it closes out many of them. it will also randomly click on apps asometimes  click on the numbers typing her password or when she’s texting sometimes she’ll have to click a letter a few times just for it to register that she put that letter. we’ve tried shutting it down and turning it back on and it doesn’t seem to be working. i’ve heard that if you reset the ipod touch it will go away but  she doest want delete everything. also random bars in the middle of the screen will come up and she can tap there it looks like bars that are glitching i’m not really sure what it is. is there a solution? it is an ipod touch 6th generation by the way. we got it in February 2017 and it started glitching in May and we’ve been trying to fix it. please help

It sounds like a failing digitizer. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store for evaluation. As long as the problem isn't a result of damage, it's probably going to be covered under warranty.
