iPod Touch 6: Want to play podcasts continuously

I have an iPod Touch 6 and I want to sort the order of my podcasts and play them continuously from one episode to the next without intervention.  If I start a podcast I want it to play all of the episodes in that podcast and then continue to the next podcast.  Right now I can't even get it to play more than 1 episode without having to manually select another episode and hitting play.  As a minimum I would like the Touch to at least play all of the episodes in a podcast.

I'm using the default Podcast app and use the My Podcasts tab.  I can then sort the podcasts in the order I like, but it won't play more than one episode at a time.

I've read through a number of posts on this.  A lot of them suggest turning off the podcast shuffle mode.  I can't find this on my Touch or in iTunes.  There is of course a shuffle mode for music in iTunes which I want to leave on, I'm hoping this isn't the issue.  I don't see any shuffle modes on the Touch.

Some posts talk about building a Smart Playlist for podcasts.  It's trivial to build a Smart Playlist of all of the podcasts, but I don't see a way to list all of the episodes of one podcast, then all of the episodes of another podcast using a Smart Playlist.

Some posts talk about disabling the "Skip when shuffling" option, but then this gets set again when new episodes are downloaded.

Any suggestions?
