How to change the paper style when printing fro...

I have an iPad version 10.3.3, Model MH1J2LL/A. I have been using air print successfully with our HP printer. Since my husband printed envelopes yesterday on his PC, I have been unable to print anything other than in envelope or 4x6 format. What do I need to do? The settings on his computer are set for regular [aper. I am unable to change it to 8 1/2 x 11.
