What do I lose Switching id Apple on my iPad?

Hi everyone, I need an advice.... I created an Apple ID for my 8-years old child (which I added to the "Family") and I would like to replace my account with his on the iPad he uses daily, benefiting Parent Control and obviously keeping control of any purchases through approval.

I was about to unlog my account when an message telling me that doing so some "data" (generically, witout any detail) would have been erased from the Ipad stopped me: I don't want to lose any savegame, so please explain me what would happen.

Since his ID is in the "Family", any in-app purchase will be available for his ID (? the bailouts and advancement of the games they use, I Stopped waiting for opinion by those who are more experienced than me.

I understand that you have created a new Apple ID for your child and now you would like to sign in with that Apple ID on his iPad but you have some questions about what will happen to the data on that device. I'm happy to provide some help for this.

When signing out of iCloud, you will be given the option to save some of the data on that device so that it will still be accessible. When you sign in to the iTunes Store using the new Apple ID, you will still have access to any shared content, but since the downloads remain tied to the original account, you will need that password when updating any of that content.

With regards to your saved games, it's best to refer to the developer of the game. In most cases the saved game data should remain in place, but it is up to the developer whether they store these saved games in iCloud, Game Center, locally, or through a third party service.
