connecting a/multiple external monitors

Hi, so my friend with a 2016 macbook pro recently set up an Ultra wide monitor for his office set up. I was hoping to do the same/similar as i am on the move 90% of the time but the other 10% i could really do with some extra real estate. I was looking at connecting up 2 of something like the Dell Computer Ultrasharp U2415 24.0-Inch Screen LED Monitor's, but probably something cheaper. but i dont know a) whether i can do this, b) how?

What connection from Macbook to monitor would i use (multiport adaptor to hmdi to screen or usb-c to usb-c) can i daisy chain the monitors or will i have to have both of them come directly from the macbook (if so what set up should i use, i would need power to my mac, and connection to both screens, and a way to connect a keyboard and mouse.
