Hello I purchased an iPhone 6 for my daughter on craigslist and connected it on straight talk. Phone was connected And I made a phone call and text to verify before paying. I when I gave the phone to my daughter she told me there's an iCloud account on the phone. Person I bought it off of gave me a password but when I put it init says account locked and asks for the trusted phone number so it can send a text or call, long story short I'm locked out. I was told by straight talk The phone is under warranty and I can bring it to an Apple store to remove that iCloud account or give me a new phone, this was a week ago and I transferred service back to my daughters old phone , did I get ripped off??? Did the straight talk operator cost me 200 bucks??

Probably ripped off.   Craigs list is not the place to buy items like this.   Taking it to the Apple store won't help; they will require the original purchase receipt before doing anything.   Since you seem to have some contact with someone, can they not help you?

He doesn't speak much English but I send him a message and he gave me the password,,, but my daughter tried so many times that now it needs the security questions answered,, I cannot get ahold of this guy and to be completely honest he may have been an illegal immigrant, I even texted him again asking what the trusted phone number was and he gave it to me, that was the last I heard from him. I have his whole contacts list, the frustrating part is it's for my thirteen-year-old daughter and I can't afford another one

I'm afraid you may not be in luck.   All you have told me points to yet another Craigs list scam.   You could try contacting Craigs list but, unlike eBay, they don't have much of a record in helping.    Of course, we here, are sympathetic towards your daughter but this is a hard lesson for you.

George it's asking me to sign into iCloud not out

I can't believe that the straight talk operator is that uneducated, I specifically asked if there was any possible problem.. on the phone it's asking me to sign into his iCloud account not out of.. but I have a feeling I'm chasing a dream,, thank you for your help

Also I just put his account information into Gmail and it is his email and he gave me the password to his email,, I don't think he tried to burn me, his apps were Bible related and he wasn't trying to make a quick getaway,, I was on the phone with Straight Talk for 40 minutes with him there

Straight talk, while a legitimate organisation, cannot do more than give an opinion.  If you have an Apple store nearby, then by all means take it in and see if they can guide you.  If you have access to Apple support, they too would probably help but something concrete will still be needed for them to open the activation lock.  I wish I could be more help but I'm sure you (and your daughter) see how privacy must be guaranteed.

No problem,, I hate to say it but I accessed his email, he did give me the password to his email, I'm thinking if I take a greyhound from Pennsylvania to Mexico I may get it figured out,, I'm going to keep faith in an unfaithful world,,thx again
