help needed to unlock daughters iPad mini

My daughter has locked her ipad mini by forgetting her password

ipad says "ipad disabled - connect to itunes"

when i follow the instructions and press restore i get the message  "software for this iphone is currenty not available. make sure you have crrent version of itunes and try again"

i have checked and i have latest version

when plugged in there is no info as per capacity, serial number etc.like it does not recognise it at all.

 

can u help me.

Have you ever synced that iPad with that computer before?

 

If you forgot (or don't know) your passcode, restore the device from backup on the last computer it was synced with when the passcode was turned on... this will remove the passcode. If you do not have access to the last computer it was synced with, or you don't have a backup, you will have to force it into recovery mode & restore as a new device.

You may need to try this More than Once...

 

Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...

 

 

Once you have Recovered your Device...

 

Re-Sync your Content or Restore from the most recent Backup...

iam linking to the original mac i used to set up

 

however, still no luck.

 

i have followed the recovery mode instructions but still get the message and iam left with the itunes and usb visual on the ipad.

Some Users have reported that as many as 8 or 9 attempts at Recovery were necessary before success.

i will keep trying. just odd itunes doesnt recogise the ipad - saying iphone but with no details

Make sure you have the Latest version of iTunes installed on your Computer.

 

how do you force it into recovery mode
