My device keeps getting error 3503

My iPad was out of date and requested it update to version 9 something. The update failed on the iPad so I figured I should plug it into the latest iTunes and let it update. iTunes prompted saying it'll install version 10.3.3. Once accepting, I keep getting error 3503. The device won't factory reset, restore from backup, or upgrade. I now seem to have a brick. Any suggestions?
