Restore from computer backup on iTunes 12.7

I use my computer instead of iCloud for the backup and restore of my iPhone.

iTunes 12.7 does not display the App section and when restoring my phone from the backup, would the restore include information and files stored in the apps, for example the game statuses and files in my recipe app?

Or can someone please explain how would the restore work?
