FaceTime outgoing call sound

Does anyone know if Apple plans on ever changing the ringtone on outgoing FaceTime calls? Receiving a call is fantastic...making one feels like my eardrums are being torn a new one

As you know, the Terms of Use of the Apple Support Communities, which you agreed to by using these communities, forbid us from speculating on actions Apple may or may not take in the future.

Apple has announced no plans to change the outgoing FaceTime call sound, which, by the way, sounds just fine to me.

Thanks for answering my question; I seemed to have really bothered you by posting a question that's "not allowed," so apologies. I'd like to point out, though, that just because something is "just fine" for you doesn't mean that others feel the same way. It's a pretty basic concept; maybe it'a something you should review from time to time.

Hi all. I just want to let WillowRS know that they are not alone. I find the sound of facetimes outgoing call SUPER ear piercing. If anyone from Apple ever reads this please look into having it changed to something that would be more suitable for all people. Or perhaps even customizable. Just some friendly feedback.

I don’t find the outgoing call tone as irritating as you but I would welcome the option to either mute it or set no outgoing tone. Who thinks I want to alert anyone around that I’m trying to make a FaceTime call? It’s all about choice and individual preferences and not being as dismissive of others as sberman seems to be.
