iTunes is duplicating songs and TV shows purcha...

The most recent iTunes update has caused a duplication of all the songs I have bought from the iTunes store.  It has also duplicated all the TV shows I have downloaded.  Why is this happening, and can I hide/remove the duplicates?  I suppose it's nice to know they are backed up in the iCloud, but listening to a song twice is quite annoying sometimes.

Sign out of the store. Sign in again.

Thank you Turingtest2.  This fixed my problems.  I appreciate the tip.  It really bothered me a lot.
