Mini player not staying small

Hey guys, so I just updated my iTunes to 12.7. Now usually I turn my iTunes into a mini player and then click onto my browser and the mini player goes to the background, and when I click back onto iTunes it shows up as the mini player again. After the update if I click onto my browser and then click back onto iTunes it shows me the full page iTunes instead of the mini player. Anyone have suggestions on how I can make it stay as mini player in the background and stay a mini player when I click back?
