Is there ANY way to still get Sierra?

The High Sierra release caught me by surprise.

Having cloned my MBP El Capitan system last night I awoke this AM planning on installing Sierra. I seriously doubt all my Mac programs are compatible with High Sierra yet. I did not "purchase" Sierra before today so I cannot download it from Purchases. Is there any way to obtain Sierra from Apple?

It is no longer in Purchased, anyway. You would have needed to download a full installer and stored it safely away.

I need to reinstall macOS Sierra due to software conflicts with macOS High Sierra…***…it's no longer in my 'purchased' download url within my AppStore acc't?

We should add this to our lexicon…"we've been Tim'd"…somehow, it doesn't have the same ring to it as…"you've been Steve'd".

Apple Software/AppStore Team…put the **** OS back in the AppStore or reimburse the Apple community for any and all unintended issues that arise from another late delivery of prior announced products…does anyone else get tired of vaporware promises and just want, "it's available for purchase now" after Apple's special events?

You can restore Sierra from the backup you made before installing High Sierra.

Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem or a suggestion for change. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem/suggested change solved sooner.
