missing disk space on mac mini

Hi

I have a mac mini with a 320gb HDD which says it only has 40gb space left

It filled up last night on a download so I cleaned out some old profiles and unwanted downloads.

And I have emptied the trash.

I had a nose asround as I couldn't figure what was using up all the space.

I use OmniDiskSweeper on other macs so installed it here and set it scanning to see where the space was being used.

It has finished scanning and reports only 100Gb in use.

• 46Gb in users
• 30Gb in Applications
• 13Gb in Library
• 5Gb in System
• 4 in Developer
• 3 in private and about a gig between the other stuff.

But if I right-click Macintosh HD and Get Info, it tells me I have a 320Gb capacity and 41Gb available.

Running Disk Utility gives similar results to Get Info but shows

• 30 Gb for Apps
• 10 Gb Photos
• 21 Gb Audio
• 90 Gb Movies and
• 126 Gb Other

There is about 24Gb in MP4 files in one of the user profiles, but I have no idea what could be registering 90gb of movies. And I have no idea what the other 126 gb Other is.

Is OmniDiskSweeper missing something, perhaps in a hidden folder(s)?

How do I get it to show?

Any other suggestions greatly appreciated.
