Passcode lock after ios11 upgrade,not ipad is d...

After I upgraded to ios11, it asked for passcode, I entered the 4digit i use and proceeded, (before ug i had no passcode set) its an ipad Air, no touch-button. Now ipad is disabled after entering worng passcode many times. Trying to restore in itunes, after downloading latest s/w to my ipad the error

" itunes could not connect to this ipad. an unknown error occurred

please i am in trouble is my ipad useless now, I have only one pc to try, please tell me what i should do...****
