How can I reinstate POP format to my email conn...

I recently had to change the password on a gmail account.  For some reason, after I did this, and looked at Mail's "Accounts..." dialog, one of my comcast email accounts showed up as "<aname>.", rather than <aname>.comcast.net.  Two other comcast accounts were shown correctly when they were selected in the same dialog.  However the same account was also shown, correctly, in the dialog.  So I deleted the erroneous entry.

Subsequently, Mail.app stopped collecting mail from the <aname>.comcast.net 

So, I tried to reintroduce the <aname>.comcast.net account.  And I succeeded.  Except that now this was an IMAP account, but my other comcast.net accounts are still POP accounts.  (I'm really old-fashioned, or retro, or whatever).  But I can't find any way to reintroduce the POP status to my old account.  Any advice?
