Installing a HP DeskJet Printer.

Hi. I'm new to all this mac world and I'm trying to install my printer in it. I have a Macbook air and I'm trying to install a HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2135 printer.  The printer came with a setup CD but my macbook doesn't have a CD driver.

According to this website: HP Printers - macOS 10.12, OS X 10.11, 10.10 Compatible Printers | HP® Customer Support I have to download the HP Easy Start software and follow its instructions. I did, but the problem is, when I get to the point to "recognize" the printer (via USB), the software doesn't do it. Can anyone tell what's wrong? And if I can do anything about it? Help would be appreciated, thanks!
