rMBPro 13 with LG 27UD69P display?

Just bought this LG display (LG 27UD69P) for use with early 2015 MBPro retina and am curious if others are using this display and if there are tricks and setups to maximize the display quality? Also, which is the preferred connection, DisplayPort or HDMI? And just about anything having to do with pairing this display with the MBPro. I've searched here and elsewhere and found precious little information.  Thanks--
