iTunes V.12.7.0.166

I downloaded iTunes V.12.7.0.166 and now I can't download more than 2 or 3 songs at a time before the download freezes up.  I had to rebuild my library from scratch due to song skips on my iPod Touch.  The songs downloaded fine on my Touch but they're not downloading properly on my PC. I'm running Windows 10.

The song skip issue has been problematic. I went to the iTunes store and they told me it was probably a cable issue.  I used the Touch for a week with no issues.  Immediately after syncing with my iTunes program, the song skip (song plays but all sound stops 3/4 of the way through the song and then silence for the rest of the time the song plays) started up again.  I was advised to rebuild both libraries from scratch.

I'm avoiding adding songs from CD until I work this issue out.

However, I have over 1,000 songs so doing them one by one is excruciating.
