USB Device Disabled when I plug my mouse in

Hello, I recently bought a mouse it's a RGB gaming mouse and when I plug it in I get an message in top right corner of my display saying USB Devices disabled I am sure you already know this message, My mouse does glow up I was thinking maybe this may be causing the issue so it may actually be using too much power due to the RGB glowing effect, I wanted to know if that is the problem, i've owned the mouse for about 2 months or so now and this issue just started recently and when it doesn't the mouse will work for a couple hours and then that message will be displayed and then it does not work so I am forced to use my Magic Mouse, it does not do this with any other USB device, my headset glows too and it does not do this for it, I tried the other USB ports with the mouse and it seems to do the something it works for a little bit and then stops and won't re-enable, what could be causing this?

Any help is appreciated, thanks for reading , Also I was not too sure on the category if that even matters.

I think that you are on the right track. The USB ports have built-in overloads and will temporarily shut off when overloaded.

Personally I would:

1. Reset the SMC, as per > Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

2. Try disconnecting all other non-esentual USB devices when using the Mouse.

3. Try the mouse in a different USB port.

4. Purchase a high quality self-powered USB hub and put the load on it.

5. Test the Mouse on another iMac. If it does the same thing, then it is most likely bad.
