How do I add apps

When I want to 'send' a file or a link to another device on my iPad I am limited to only a handful of apps in AirDrop.  How to I add additional apps like, for example, Dropbox or Copy or Pages?

Thanks.

The iPad is a device. Dropbox, Copy, and Pages are Apps not devices.

To send files to other Apps you use the Open in option from the Action menu of the source App.

for instance if you wanted to send a file from Mail to say Dropbox You would Tap and hold on the file icon in the Email and then tap on"Open in name of app"  of your choice.

AirDrop only works to send files to other devices like  other iPads, or iPones or iPods.  It does not send files to other Apps like Drop Box.

In most Apps the action menu can be accessed through the icon that looks like a box with an arrow coming out of it.

Thanks but I never called apps devices. Where'd that come from?

Hello there, I think you are having the same problem I was having.... I could get air drop to work in relation to importing my brush libraries but it wouldn't let me open them in the program I wanted too, which was Procreate. I couldn't find anything in Procreate that gave me options either. So what you do is this :

1. open your IPad photo app.. not google photos or anything else.

2. select any photo, in the bottom half of your screen there will be a list of apps.

3. select the more... option

4. A list of Activities will appear, turn on the apps you want to be able to use.

5. Save your selecions by hitting the done button.

6. Now when you airdrop something all the apps you have selected will appear as possibilities for you to choose from.

In this way you can download huge brush libraries all in one go.
