When copying songs from one playlist to another...

When trying to drag and drop songs from one playlist to another, iTunes is creating duplicate or triplicate copies of the songs and putting them all in the new playlist. It's tough to see, but if you look in the screenshot below, I'm trying to drag 23 songs from one playlist into another playlist. But if you look really closely at the cursor it shows I'm moving some number of songs that ends in a "2".

Despite showing some number involving a 2, when I actually move the files to a new playlist, I'm given 66 songs. The same happens when I move or copy these files into an outside folder or an Ecxel file; 66 files in the folder, 66 lines of text in Excel. Most songs are triplicated, but some are duplicated. It makes no sense to me.

Any solutions would be much appreciated.
