A green patterned screen in user modes
I have a green patterned screen in user modes, but when I start-up in SAFE mode it goes away. I can't figure out what's causing this green checked/patterned screen. It appears to be covering up what's actually going on behind it, thus it's not crashing the machine. Does it have something to do with the graphics card? By why does the graphics card work in SAFE mode?
If it doesn't happen in Safe Mode, it's probably not the graphics card. It may be an incompatible Login Item. Go to System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Items and remove them using the button. (You can always add them back later using the ) Now, restart and test without the Login Items and see if it works as expected.
