iPad camera 16:9 video framing

I am having iPad Pro 10.5 64 GB iOS 10.3.3. It has great camera which I'd like to use for shooting video. Problem is I cannot compose my frame while recording because in video mode the camera app doesn't add black bars on top and bottom of the display. What you see is not what you get. This software flaw makes iPad camera unusable for me which is a big shame! I so much hope Apple will address this issue! Is there any workaround meanwhile?
