apple watch heart rate delayed and inaccurate r...

Good day

 

I have been using my Apple Watch series 2 for just under a month now

I Bought the watch specifically for the heart rate monitor

 

I do both cardio training and weight lifting/Olympic lifting

I started off by using the installed activity tracker but noticed that that the results were inaccurate and delayed

For instance:

Did squats (10 reps)

Heart rate before set: 72bpm

Heart rate during set: 84bpm

Heart rate after set: 92bpm

Heart rate after 1 min rest: 167bpm

I work out on average for approximately an hour, according to the watch I only burn 220-240 Calories during a workout?

 

I then read up on increasing the accuracy of the heart rate monitor

I tried all the tips, wearing the watch loose, tight, very tight, towards my wrist, towards my elbow, right wrist, left wrist, shaving my arm hear but nothing changed

 

I then downloaded Motifit and Zones to see if a different app would not do the trick but unfortunately the exact same results

 

I used to wear a Garmin Vevofit which displayed accurate and real time heart rate readings

Average calories burned during workout was 600 - 800 Calories

 

Any advice?
