high sierra audio problems

Since "upgrading" to high sierra, my audio from web flash players plays only through the garbage internal speakers.  Before the "upgrade" audio played automatically through my external bose soundlink.  The soundlink shows as connected to the macbook and does auto play itunes content.  I tried making sure in safari setting the web site i am having issues with is enabled/allowed.
